I am very excited, stressed, nervous about this new venture in my life. If you would have told me six months ago that I would be doing this I would have laughed in your face. Six months ago I had a newborn and a three-year-old and a legal transcription job (that was being seriously neglected), and also a husband just finishing his second year of medical school and studying for Boards. I was happy in that crazy, busy existence, I was comfortable. Then weeks later I found out that I no longer had my seriously neglected transcription job due to advancements in technology. When I found this out I just happened to be visiting my family, awaiting the arrival of a new addition for my little sis, and jobless. I do have to admit that I did feel some sense of relief at the loss of the job, as well as some stress and the thought of 'what next?' looming on the horizon. While on this visit I made my little sister some burps for her much anticipated little one. I was always working on some project when I did get some spare time (which was usually not much) and more than anything I loved making things for any fantastic or meaningless event I could think of. It just feels so good to put thought and time into something that you made with your own two hands and then hand it over for that someone special to enjoy.
...Anyway I could ramble on about the rest of the story but there is no need. I received some positive feedback on the things I had made and some encouragement from friends and family and thus, Jonesy Baby was born! Right now I have a variety of nursing covers and bib/burp sets as well as tons of hair accessories, Binky clips and tutus. I am still figuring out the whole Typepad format so be patient with me as I learn.
I am looking forward to making this blog not only about Jonesy Baby the Company but also as a way to share and discuss with you all the up and downs, ins and outs of motherhood. Thanks to all of those who have supported and encouraged me this far. Please share my site with all your friends and family. Any orders can be placed through e-mail at the present time and I can invoice you through Paypal. You can click on "e-mail me" at the top left hand corner if you want to reach me.
